1) What kinds of gifts will you give this holiday season?
To be honest, I will probably give something homemade or gift certificates. A lot of my friends aren't local anymore and it's just easy to let folks pick their own gift :-D
2) What are the best types of presents to give?
Hee! Gift certificates. People already have what they want or need most of the time, so I think it's fun to give "bonus money" and then see what they buy with it.
3) Have you ever given someone a gift as a surprise? Why did you give the gift?
I bought a surprise gift of locally made hot sauce to a friend who moved. He loves spicy stuff. He moved to a tiny apartment (~600 sq feet) so this seemed like the kind of gift that could keep on giving :-)
4) Have you ever received a gift that you didn’t like? How did you respond?
Heh! I have received the dreaded Christmas candle more than once. You know, those fancy candles that exist only to be re-gifted? I can't burn candles because I have pet birds. The gift is in the giving, so I'm thankful and move on (and keep the candle in case I need a gift hee!)
5) Would you rather give someone a gift or receive a gift? Why?
I would rather give a gift. It brings me more joy to give than receive. I know a lot of people that won't buy something for themselves or treat themselves. I can usually pick up on something that would brighten their day.
