Leaving on a jet plane...

Again.

I am sitting in the airport waiting to board. Someone remind me not to ever fly Spirit again. Ever. They have the most inconvenient check in, the longest security line, and the crapiest terminal. I miss Delta. However, the one consolation was the bag x-ray line, which went a litte something like this:

hot army guy. hot army guy. hot army girl. hot army guy. SHANNON! hot army girl. hot army guy. hot army guy.

Sadly I'm not excited about this trip. I'm excited to see Debb, and to see Debb get married. I'm glad I get that opportunity. It's just that I'm still tired from Dragon Con, and I fear this turn around trip to Detroit is going to kill me. Literally. I don't land until 10:30 PM on Sunday night, which means I'll be home and in bed by midnight IF I'm lucky. And seeing as it took me 2 hours to go what normally takes 45 minutes, I'm not thinking luck is my friend thus far. I hope that changes.

But, if I AM doing a turnaround trip to Detroit, I guess this is a pretty good weekend. My littlest cousin turned 18 today so I'll be in town to celebrate her birthday. I just can't believe she's all growed up, especially considering I saw her the day she was born. Am I really old enough to have watched someone grow up into adulthood? Damn, I guess so. It's just really surreal that the slow little kid who used to follow me everywhere is now old enough to play the state lottery. Weird.

I guess we'll be boarding soon so I should close down and go to the bathroom so I don't have to try and climb over sleeping people's laps mid-flight. See ya'll on Monday.

ETA: This won't mean anything to most of you, but today was 3.4 to the negative. Yay!

detroit, travel
