so the office next to the one in which i work had something go wrong with a tube in their air conditioner causing a water leak which soaked through to our carpet. Leak fixed, no big deal except that it left us with wet and consequently smelly carpet. One short call to the property company later and there is a very nice gentleman here to fix that smell and dry our carpet. The big solution? some fans and enough 'deodorizer' to kill a bull elephant. now, call me wacky, but I always thought that deodorizer, as a word, meant that which removes odors. Apparently I was hugely mistaken as 'deodorizer' means (in personal experience - i.e. after it was sprayed all over the place) 'abhorrent urinal cake-esque smelling substance that causes the sinuses to burn, induces headache, and causes one to see small spots from the pure olfactory nightmare. If 'deodorizer' were a carpet it would be shag avacado green with goldenrod stripes.
