(no subject)

Ris is going to the yearly Convention on Organized Resistence in Washington DC this weekend. I'm kind of torn over the whole thing. On one hand, it's the sort of thing he'd really enjoy, at least in theory. (Assuming the participants are other anarchists like himself and not hippies.) He's very interested in current politics and government practices and what should be done to improve them, starting with the removal of Emporer Bush from office. I think he'd have a really good time just spending a couple days discussing the subject with others.

On the other hand, I have a bad feeling about the whole thing. Maybe it's nothing and I'm just paranoid, but I'm sort of worried that something is going to go wrong... However, it's something Ris passionately believes in, so I can't justify asking him not to go and making him choose between a belief and me. That's just really unfair. So I told him to go, learn, and enjoy himself, but to be very careful, and I'll pray for his safety. Hopefully he'll have a good time, and things will turn out okay...
