It's pouring outside, and there's an ice warning with a forecast of one to two INCHES of ice, so my school district has canceled for tomorrow. This is me doing my happy dance!!!
Not only that, but I've found a wonderful YouTube poster that puts up EVERYTHING related to Strictly Come Dancing! It's almost like actually watching the show, which I, as a deprived American, cannot do. Speaking of deprivation, are you lucky British folks really getting SCD It Takes Two EVERY DAY? That's not fair. I want Dancing with the Stars every day too. Of course, now that I'm compelled to follow both, I might have some problems finding time to eat and sleep if we had a daily dose as well. Entertainment Tonight tries, but really, ITT is much better. Oh, and what about the Christmas Special? Another thing you have that we don't. Unfair. The pros dance more too. We almost never get pro group dances.
So actually, when Dancing with the Stars ended I was miserable for about a day. Then I started playing catch up with Strictly, and now I actually think I like some of the Strictly people better.... I'll take Arlene over Carrie Ann any day, first of all, and I believe Karen Hardy might be my new favourite (ooh I have to spell it British to talk about Strictly) pro dancer. I'm also madly in love with Mark Ramprakash, but he is unfortunately last year's news. Not sure who to go with this year. Good thing I can't vote, I guess.
Have I mentioned I may have a slight tendency toward OCD in regards to fandoms? As in Obsessively Compelled to watch and/or read?
My mother was here to visit this weekend, which made life get in the way of LJ, so I'm way behind in my reading at the
metamorfic_moon Advent. I'm even MORE behind with my writing. Maybe tomorrow I can use my snow day to work on my little R/T story. I say little story, at the moment it's more like a bit of plotless dialog in a Word file. Remus and Tonks are both present, however, so I'm hoping they'll tell me what to have them do next. I think my plot bunny is ADHD.
