Mission Address

Okay, because I'm going into the MTC on August 8th, and I won't have email access for the next 6-8 weeks after that, I thought it would probably be good to post my address now, in case there are any questions or it doesn't actually post or whatever ( Read more... )

Thanks for posting your address. Hey, are there any specific treats you like?

oh just about anything chocolate... :) but especially Resees PB cups, and those white chocolate FLip pretzel thingies... oh, and Andes mints, and PB mmns, and sunflower seeds... okay, so pretty much if it's food, i'd love it. :)) This is Julia, yes?

Yes, it's me. My blog is on blogspot so it doesn't recognize my name. Sorry, to post as anonymous. Good luck next week! Much love, Julia

OH, and you're my kind of girl... Andes Mints, white chocolate, & PB cups- what great taste you have. Only thing is I couldn't imagine the kind of shape chocolate would be in coming from Georgia Sunshine all the way to Utah. Do you like anything that wouldn't melt in the heat? Wish I could bring you a Papa Johns pizza. I SO missed real food while in the MTC. Has anyone warned you about the hot food in the MTC yet? It's quite the phenomena... to say the least. Much love,
Julia

heh. I figure I'm prepared. it's the same food that they have in the Dorm Eating Centers here at BYU, and I had to suffer through that my whole freshman year. it's a good way to maintain a healthy weight... ;) But, there's really not a lot that would survive a mailing. Sunflower seeds, sugary candy like Swedish fish. Really, a letter would be better than any food. Unless you could manage to send a batch of homemade tomales. Somehow I doubt they'd make the trip though... :))

Oh, there are three cafeterias in the hall & if you go in the middle cafeteria at lunchtime on the ice cream bar day (I forget T,W or Th) they have a ton of swedish fish. I ate in the middle cafeteria at lunchtime- They have a sandwich bar & fruit every day. The main cafeteria had great bagels for breakfast (all I ate) & for dinner all I could eat was cold cereal every day. I had a bit of cafeteria food during my first year at college- but there's just something about the MTC food & the use of it's preservatives or something. Luckily you get time to exercise every day... but honestly- every missionary I saw walked around with a box of all-bran on their plate every day. Just one of those hilarious details I guess.

ooooh. excellent. this is the sort of advice that you really need. though, i think i now live in horror of all-bran and the things that necessitate it. but swedish fish is good. as is three cafeterias. that's a lot of food. hmm. bagels are good. well, it sounds like it is certainly going to be an adventure, if nothing else.
