Just read a post from a friend and they were explaining how words that parents use to describe them has stuck with them all their life. Hindering some of their decisions.
Mine is 'sleekit'. Every time my mum and I had an argument she was always describe me this way. She would always say it slowly and with particular emphasis.
Becuase of this, I feel it's stopped my from being so ready to enter conversation and debates and in general talking to people in case they see me in the same way. Hence I tend to blunder in and tend to talk without thinking or consideration and avoid arguments and verbal confrontations. It's stuck with me and I've never really gotten past it.
Does anyone else have a word?
