Word Count: 34,520
Author's Summary: "An out-of-season meteorite in Trelissick, Cornwall, a missing man and missing ferns; Three and Jo have a puzzling, dangerous riddle to solve."
Characters/Pairings: Brigadier Lethbridge-Stewart, Jo Grant, Sergeant Benton, The Doctor (3rd)
Warnings: None, unless you count deliberate misappropriation of Tennyson. ;-)
Recced because: It's a "missing-episode"-type UNIT adventure story - with overly complex codenames, Sgt. Benton's coffee and sandwiches, Jo and the Brig being awesome, Three macgyvering widgets out of spare parts, and (as usual, in Primsong's stories) an amazingly clever and original "guest alien of the week" idea.
Also, it's long. I like long. *resists the urge to say "long stories are cool"* ;-) Something to read over the weekend. And it's based on a sonnet by Tennyson; I have no idea how Prim did what she did, but the story fits the poem perfectly. It's fantastic.
(Frankly, I like the poem better now than I did before I read the story. Prim is that mind-bogglingly good. Go on, read it. *smile*)
