Recced because: Okay, I can't hide the potential for bias, what with the glowing dedication to me right at the top, but that doesn't change the fact that I would rec this fic even if it was written by a total stranger, because it's one of my favorites. It's actually referenced on the TV Tropes page for Fridge Brilliance for its scifi use of some of the more fantastical plots of House.
If the author's summary makes it sound like a comedy, it's probably an evil set-up for the sucker-punch. Everything mentioned there happens, and it really is tragic. As a crossover, it puts the two universes together, but the end result is something more than the sum of its parts, each canon lending depth to the other.
