Recced because: I know . . . I’ve already recommended a story by Frostfyre this week.  In my own defense I didn’t know that they were by the same author when I was putting my list together.  Once I realized, I couldn’t decide which one to drop.  Is it my fault Frostfyre is good?

I know this is a long story, but I don’t recommend it lightly.  I had heard of the Joss Whedon series “Firefly”, but had never seen it, or the related movie “Serenity.”  I decided to give this crossover fic a try, and was hooked immediately.  Hooked as in I didn’t really accomplish much else until I finished reading it, and I tell everyone I know that they should read it.  I have seen the movie now, and I think that the author did a very good job of portraying all the characters.  It is also an interesting portrait of the Doctor dealing with the aftermath of “Doomsday.”  It is long, but worth the ride.  It’s the best crossover fic I have ever read. Strike that; it is some of the best fiction I have read.  Now I need to buy the box set of “Firefly.”
