Today was the first day of mentoring. I got to meet my student. His name is Miki Wilkerson and he is a really tiny 9 year old African-American boy. He seems like a really good kid. He has a REALLY short attention span, which I think may be credited to ADHD. Luckily for him though, I'm used to dealing with "overly active" children since my brother happens to be one. All in all though, I really think that this is going to be a fun time. Now I must go read about 2500003 pages of biochem...
