So this is what I've been doing with myself lately!
^ This is the one I'm least impressed with, because it's just... a necklace. I got the idea from ym friend Katie, who spent abotu three weeks with a necklace drawn with sharpie on her collarbone. This'll probably be just "ZOMG I'm late for class!" shirt type thingy.
^ I was REALLY trying to get the feel of grass here, and I think it turned out well. I love the green color of the shirt, and I wanted something I could wear a long-sleeve shirt under. I'm really happy with this one.
Some close ups:
...
...
"Mon Dieu!" a crié le pamplemousse, "Il a mangé la fenêtre!" which translates to: "My God!" cried the grapefruit, "He has eaten the window!"
^ I'm a damn fangirl. On the back, I'm either going to put "Team Wesley", or "Wil Wheaton Has A Posse".
I'll probably do a KvP one, too.
Y'all just jealous.
^ This is my favorite one. I love the fitted t-shirt shape, and I really like how the black lettering looks. It says "Je serai un poète et vous, poésie..." which means "I shall be a poet, and you, poetry..." However, I'll probably end up redoing this one, because of the back...
^ It was supposed to look like wings, and it kind of doesn't. So I'll get another shirt and do it again, and which ever one looks better, keep that one. The other I think I'll write all over the front, and color the back black with patches of color. Then I'll cut it into a shrug. Good idea, no?
^I have a weakness for shiny things. Hence the HUGE amount of silver paint. I also wanted something to go out in, and I think this will work. I'm going to have to find a way to add some shape to it, though, because the bottom just kind of... bunches up shapelessly. I need to pull the sides or the back in somehow... Or maybe just shorten it. Je ne sais pas, I'll experient.
^I dyed my hair red again! I like it!
^It's pretty bright.
I really, really, enjoy doing these. They're really fun, and I get new shirts out of it! I'm working on designs for other one... I wish I could alter shirts more easily, though. The adult mediums are pretty shapeless, which makes they easy to wear and comfortable, but... they're shapeless. Maybe I tie them in the back ro something, or make some darts. No, that wouldn't work. Anyway, I REALLY like the shape of the fitted tshirts. I think I'll stick with those for my black and whites, and get the regular ones and do some beading or experimental altering. They're only four bucks each, so WHOO!
Plans for future shurts include:
- Beading the bottoms
- Making a brocade bowtie and sewing it onto the front
- Abstract, blocky pattern going down the middle of the front and back.
- More French one the front, something pretty on the back.
- graffiti-like abstract designs.
Anyway, it's REALLY fun and if anyone wants to do it with me, it's awesome!
