You know that you go to a school in Florida if...

To save myself from summertime boredom, and to also get a History credit out of the way, I'm taking a Western Civ class at BCC (note that I will be done at 10:45, so if people want to do things afterwards, hit me up). Anyway, the professor gave a rousing first-day-of-class lecture, as is standard by any college professor, but his was a little different, as he requested that amoung the things that we don't bring to class (food, children, toy dogs), he also requested that no lizards be brought into class as well. I found that quite amusing.

He also went through the attendance policy. He said that since this was a small class, one's absense would be noticed, especially if that someone is cute...all saying this as he eyes the silent majority that are the females. Note that before saying that, he already said that he was a male chavinistic pig and that if you came up to him and said that you deserved a higher grade because you were a female and the female gender has been persecuted enough, it would not matter...

...should I be afraid at this point?...

In any event, it seems as though this may turn out to be an interesting six weeks. I also found out this week, with much probing with my mother concerning my family history, that I may have some Irish in me, from my maternal grandfather's side. Doing the math, at best, I believe that this counts for 1/16 of my history. I also learned that there may be some Indian (from India) in me as well, so the tally is as follows:

African, Chinese, Irish*, Indian*
*still under investigation

Does the 1/16 qualify me in getting one of those "Kiss Me I'm Irish" t-shirts?

Now I wonder, and throw this out to you guys...what's your family background? You may come up with some surprises.
