There are a few east coast people who need to become west coast people!!

Maryland was amazing!  I had a great time.  Audrey was completely suprised, minus that she's one smart cookie and figured it out an hour before i arrived.  It appears that the east coast boys are breed to be a lot nicer than west coast boys, very polite, and they know how to show you a good time.  All of Dave's roommates were nice, though I barely saw one of them.  And Dave's friends were pretty chill as well.  My weekend:

Friday: Arrived in Virgina at 5pm (2pm west coast time) and waited for dave to pick me up since he was stuck in traffic.  We then made a long and traffic filled trip back to Maryland.  We arrived at Dave's place at 8pm.  Audrey and dave's roommate brett (boob) were the one two home.  She was really tired, so she wasn't as excited as i thought she would be, but she was still really happy and excited to see me.  We sat around and talked while Dave ordered pizza and ran an erran.  Once the pizza arrived dave's friend, denis, who came in from out of town, arrived. A while later we, Audrey, Dave, Denis, and I went squireling (listening to the police scanner looking for a good fire).  Which was kind of boring but it gave audrey and i a good chance to talk. We then headed back to the house. A few hours later Dave's other roommate, Eric showed up.  He had been in North Caroline doing a few job interviews.  We sat around on the smoking deck for a while before deciding on more drinks and a game of darts in the basement.  The night ended very well and we all found our beds by 6am.

Saturday:  After sleeping until 11 Eric very sweetly made a yummy breakfast for us all.  The night before audrey and i decided that we would go to Baltimore so I could see her dorm and John Hopkins and then go shopping.  Baltimore was not at all what i expected.  It was very run down and full of brick buildings.  Though I'm not sure if i got a good look at baltimore because I'm told Audrey lives in the bad side of town.  Her dorm was an odd set up.  You had to have a security pass with your picture on it to get though the main door and an electronic pass to get through to the door to the elevator and another to get through the door that connects to the hall outside audrey's door and none of this inculded the two keys she needs to get into her place and her bedroom door.  i got a look at audrey's tiny "apartment" where she has her own room, thankfully, shares a tiny "kitchen-ette" w/ two other people, and a bathroom that's tenni tiny.  We then dropped the boys off at the tv room (dave and denis came w/ us) we headed down the stree to John Hopkins.  It wasn't exactly a nice day to be walking around outside, but according to audrey it was very nice weather condsidering that the week before it had been about 100 with 80-90% humidity (thank god i'm a california who lives near the coast).  Hopkins was beautiful, everything was brick that had been built hundreds of years ago, not something you'd find on the young west coast.  She showed me her office, more like her desk that was in a tiny room w/ two others, and both the labs that she works in.  We then walked around campus a bit until we reached this beautiful garden area, tall thin trees surrounded stone benched and little pathways curved in and out of it.  After seeing Hopkins, our taxi (dave) took us to one of the many huge malls in the area.  Dave and Denis decided that shopping was not for them so they dropped us off and we shopped for a few hours.

Saturday night: Plans had been made that we: dave, audrey, denis, eric, peter (dave's other friend who used to live in the house who now lives out of state) and i were going to go to one of dave's favorite sports bars.   While getting ready two other guys showed up, at the moment i can't remember either of their names, but they both kinda gave me the creeps so ya.  one of the guys, after meeting me, tells dave that he's going "actively hit on me" which dave of course later tells me.  Seeing as how I had found him annoying just by the look of him, and that audrey had told me that he wasn't someone she had any want to hang around w/ I was pretty sure the night was going to be horrible, but i was very wrong.  So without trying much i was able to give him the hit that i wasn't interested and if he did try to hit on me it wouldn't end pretty.  At the bar the guys had a few beers and I got to meet dave's little sister and her boyfriend.  Eric also taught me how to play darts, which i wasn't that great at, but he was sweet and told me that i was good at it for not having played before.  After an hour or two we headed back to the house to play some poker.  I decided to sit out for most of the game.  Aurdrey ended up being the only girl playing at the table, which i'm sure is the norm.  And she was damn good, she beat the boys which was fun to see and i got an awesome picture of her w/ her winnings. And the night ended w/ us watching super troopers, which all the guys in the house can quote almost the entire movie.

Sunday:  After two very late nights we didn't start our day until well after 12.  Eric again made breakfast for audrey, me, and himself.  We spent most of the day sleeping and hanging out.  Denis left to go back home since he had work the next day.  Around 8pm dave began to start the grill, which is his expertice, and another one of their friends showed up for dinner and to hang out.  We had another night of darts, good conversation, great food, and fun.

Monday:  Since I repacked the night before I didnt' have to get up as early as i had thought, which was nice.  After dropping Audrey off at the train station dave drove me back to virgina and helped me find where I needed to go.  an hour and a half later I was on the plane and 5 hours after that I was back in beautiful california.  trying to get back to where I parked my car was annoying, they weren't very clear as to where you should stand to take the shuttle to the parking lots, so that took me about 20 mins.  Finally reaching my car i headed to the stopped traffic of 405 and then of 101.  hours later I arrived back in slo, took my things out of my car.  called everyone to let them know and thanked audrey for a great weekend.  and by 6:30pm I was sound asleep.

Now I have more packing and a midterm a head of me this week.  woohoo I move into the new apartment on friday!!
