It's strange, isn't it? People have said it's just because I'm there on holiday, but I've been to many other destinations and never felt the attachment. I'd love to believe I was a Corsican in a previous life, but if I was I haven't carried over any gift for the language! At least Corsica is relatively close to home - your feeling of attachment to Paris is a long way off! Any French blood lurking in the family tree?

I love France and I love Italy, but I've never been to Corsica which looks, as one would expect, like a beautiful blend of both. Yet that beach has almost a Cornish look to it.

We haven't booked a holiday yet. I suddenly feel I need to do something about this...

I do see what yo mean about Cornwall - that's one of my avourite parts of the country (next to the North East) and yes, rugged coastlines and hidden coves and beaches are certainly a feature of Corsica, too ( ... )
