I sadly did not win any prizes for the KAL I entered this into, but I got this yarn for free as it is, so no big deal. And I have a second ball for gloves!

Blocked to about 5’ x 6.5”, but the edges curl up a bit so you really see the cable and not the 4 end stitches, so probably closer to 6” wide.

Initially tried to do this with a size 7 needle, but it came out like mess, so I ripped it and started over on a 6.

The yarn was interesting to work with, with lots of thick and thin variations to the one ply it has. I was afraid it’d break a few times, but it never did. And it’s super soft and easy on the hands.

I’m feeling way too ill this week to try to organize my image gallery better for you. In fact, I shouldn’t be sitting up to write this post, but I just tried to eat some chicken soup so I’m afraid to lie down again lest I re-visit my meager dinner.

Bleh. Worst stay-cation ever. Who wants to spend their vacation sick? I could barely stand up for my wedding dress resizing, and then I got nothing else done. T_T

Anyway, here’s some pretties, minus captions because I don’t feel like it. So there.

Go to Tami’s Amis to see what other people finished this week!
