Graduation

I went for Qiuyan's graudation on Wednesday - my first time attending a graduation ceremony. Qiuyan was really nice, she got me a ticket, invited me to her ceremony, treated me to coffee and everyone dinner afterwards after the ceremony. It was really... interesting to see a University graduation ceremony.

I attended one in Poly, but I don't know why, I feel more excitement for graduation here than back in Poly. Maybe it's University, that's why it's different. The weather was crap, it was raining, which resulted in the cancellation of the parade march. Typically Vic graduates will take a parade march from the Government Building to the Civic Square, into the Michael Fowler Centre where the ceremony will be held.

That day, at the corners of Wellington city, you can city Graduates walking all around with then gowns. It's such a amazing sight, interesting even. Normally, graduation ceremonies are held in school, and it's "contained", but then here it's not like that. The streets that linked the Government buildings to Michael Fowler Centre was donned with banners donned by Vic, that said "Congratulations to our Graduations". Wherever you walked, there were students in their graduation gowns. Pretty.

And, like all universities. different faculty had different colour of hoodies! Tourism was Champagne Gold! It was super nice, and rare - because not a lot of people took Tourism, so it's really easy to spot. The rarity of it makes everything more precious. :P

After attending the ceremony, I also want to graduate. Hahah. Now the problem is, I either graduate this year, or next. I graduate this year because sissy can only make it this year, and even if I do my Honours next, I can't graduate anymore caused technically I've already graduated with a BTM. But if I graduate next year, sissy cannot come and take photos with me in her gown! :( :(  So I'm in a dilemma. Bah.

But anyway, photos. :)
