Hey guys , I've decided I'm putting this journal to more of a use than holding my life events . : D I'm going to start putting Reviews in it ! All kinds of music and DVDs folks . : D
And my first shall be .... :
Tokio Hotel's album "Scream" :
I know , it wasn't released here yet , but I may as well do the review as a little pre-release shit . : D
The title track : Scream [Schrei .] is nice and heavy , though I don't like how in the english version Bill makes his voice high when he sings : 'SCREAM !' in the chorus . It makes him sound like he wants to be little again . [Which I don't mind but It just doesn't really mix with the way his voice is now .. >_<;;]
Second track ! The second track is the English version of Ubers End Der Welt [Ready , Set , Go ! in English .] I love how it goes from heavy in the chorus to a little softer in the verses . The lyrics are very nice in my oppinion , though I miss when Bill's voice was high . He grew up too fast . :] Not just the guitar amazes me in this one , but the Bass and drumming blows me away ..
Third is Worst ?! Never ! Monsoon is the Third Track on this album . The german version Durch Den Monsoon was the first Tokio Hotel song I've ever heard . It's very nice and soft , the accoustics of Tom are wonderful . I much prefer the English version over the German because the way Bill's voice is deeper , fits the song better . 'Hey , Hey !' When the son gets heavy makes the song oh so much more , powerful . The lyrics in the Chorus are powerful like when the song gets heavy .
Love Is Dead , ain't that true .. This soft song has really hit me hard with the new Tokio Hotel album . [Totgeliebt in German .] The lyrics are very meaningful and certianly fit the music that they've composed . Starting soft then going heavy in the Chorus' . [Like Ready , Set , Go !] I've certainly fallen in love with Bill's lyric style .
Fifth . Don't Jump is one of the most amazing Tokio Hotel songs I've ever heard , it's certainly my faveorite . It's drum melodies are stunning . The music is sorrowful , like the lyrics of the song . The Chorus' guitar fit it so well I think . The Orchestra in the backround of the song make the song sound so much powerful . [Oh almost forgot , Spring Nicht in German .] Even if the Lyrics make me think of events in the past for me , the last line in the song makes me cry .. 'And if all that can't hold you back , I'll jump for you ..'
Bill's On The Edge , OH NO ! On the Edge is the Sixth track on the album . I havn't really listened to this song all that much , is didn't really appeal to me in English but the German version Stich Ins Glück sounds much better in their native language . It's heavier in the Chorus than the verses , but both the Verses and the Chorus' have Accoustic guitar in the backround . Georg's bass sounds like , the most sexy thing I've heard bass wise . @-@
Sacred is the Seventh track on the album . Personally I prefer heavier songs to soft songs , but this song is an exeption .. The lyrics are very nice and soft , fitting the compositions but I prefer again , the German version . [Heilig .] Again with the Orchestra making the Band ever-so-much-more sexy in the Chorus' with the soft , but strong Violins .
It's time to BREAK AWAY ! Eighth track being Break Away . It's nice and heavy for most of the song . Though the English lyrics sound awesome , they sound more amazing in the German version , Ich Brech Aus . The Guitars and Drums give the song so much Power it's amazing . Bill's voice is very sexy with power .
Rescue Me is the Nineth track on this album . This is the English version of Rette Mich , which was released on Tokio Hotel's first album "Schrei" . Since Bill's voice has changed , it makes the song sound more grown-up [I really don't know how else to put it .] . Also the Orchestra in the backround of the song make it sound more "grown-up" aswell . The power of this song is astounding and is a must listen in both German and English .
It's the Final Day !? WHAT ?! No . This is the Tenth track on the album , and was released on "Schrei" aswell . It's nice and heavy and the tone in Bill's voice sounds a lot on "Scream" than it does on "Schrei" [Der Letzte Tag .] . The Guitar and Bass make the song sound like well , more powerful , I don't know how else to put it ..
Forgotten Children ... The Eleventh track . It's Guitar sounds sorrowful much like the lyrics . The way Bill sung this song on the album would make anyone cry . The drums are nice and slow , but still strong . The backing vocals of Tom in the verses sound like when he sings a line with Bill in Monsoon . This song is still very sorrowful even when it gets heavier . The singing in the last Chorus [not just Bill .] make it sound like it's the Vergessen Kinder [forgotten children . But that's the point I guess .]
The last track , By your Side . It starts accoutic in the beginning and continues to have accoustic melodies throughout the song . Though I havn't really listened to this song in either German or English . Bill sings it nice and soft for most of the song . When the song gets louder , Bill's voice has more power , which makes the song sound very nice . The composition fits the lyrics very well . [Oh , almost forgot again .. An Deiner Seite (Ich Bin Da) is the name of the song in German .]
Though that review might suck , hey , it was my first . ;]
Well , that's all I have for today . @-@
NYAPPY ~
