And so the new semester finally arrives. What could I expect? Well here are some random notes from my first week of school:
1.) My "Women and Men" professor is a stark-raving mad feminist. It should spark some very interesting debates though.
2.) My "Human & Intercultural Relations" professor seems very easygoing which could mean that her work is easy, but only time will tell. I can't be an idiot and slouch around, thinking she is easy just to end up fucking up in the end. (See English 11 my Junior year in High School).
3.) The professor for "The Human Body" was out of his fucking mind with the amount of work he had on that syllabus. He preached to us about how if you apply yourself you will get an "A" but I don't think he realized that "applying yourself" in that class means giving up your life altogether. Yes, it's that bad. What did I do? I dropped the mother fucking shit. lol. In it's place I took "Psychology of Self Development" (evaluation pending).
4.) Creative writing seems pretty fucking cool so far. Basically, we roleplay as agents in the FBI who track down a woman in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil over the course of many months. What we do is write a story based on all of our experiences in those couple of months. It is kinda hard to explain but who the fuck cares. Oh by the way, there is a girl that I want to get with in that class. We shall see how that turns out. Highly doubtful there will be any positive turnout though.
In other news, my room has been completely redone. To put it in a nutshell, we painted it a hunter green color which was alot darker than I expected, but I still liked it nonetheless. However, my mother, being the stubborn, domineering person that she is, decided to paint it another color against my will and thus I am left with a boring and gay light brown color. I will have no choice but to deal with it. Whatever. Oh yeah, I got new furniture and I moved everything around. I have so much more room now. Now bringing my friends up here won't be such a big deal anymore.
I started working out for the first time since May last night. How discouraging it is to struggle benching 135 lbs! When you go from putting up 255 several times to putting up 135 10 times with a struggle, it is frustrating. The good thing though is that I finally started my routine. Now it is only up from here...
P.S.
Ministry, the guru of industrial heavy-metal in the nineties, was once a synth-pop/new wave band. And yes, it is quite good. (see my music above) Believe it!
