Drifting along
Been awhile since my last posting. A lot of stuff has happened, yet a lot of stuff is still the same. The biggest points, both good and bad:
I lost my job.
After 11 years of working for the same people, who treated me almost like family, I was let go. This last year has been hard for the bakery due to some expansion that didn't go as planned, and some reshuffling of job duties had to be done. My position, unfortunately, was the easiest to drop and be picked up by others. The annoying part is that my friends who visit the booth at the farmer's market are being told that I chose to leave. Joy.
A good friend will be getting married this fall.
I wish all the luck to you two and hope you have an enjoyable life together.
My mother has gone through 4 surgeries over the last 6 months.
Since she's retired, she finally has the time to get her feet and hands fixed.
I'm returning to school.
My AA isn't enough. Going back this fall to MJC to finish an AA-T in Anthropology, which will give me guaranteed admission to a CSU. 2 years there, walk out with a BA in Anthro and begin the task of becoming a teacher (5-6th grade range)
Modesto Highland Games are coming up
I've been on the planning side this year for the games, helping with advertising and volunteers. Hoping my ideas will bring extra people out this year.

There's more, but I have no wish to go into detail. Just that it's about my various social circles and the relationships of them that I am trying to figure out.
