Coworkers and facebook

I love my coworkers I really do. I don't mind the getting picked on constantly at work for whatever reason...ok well maybe sometimes it grates on my nerves. But oh how I wish I never added one I work with on my facebook. Anything I post fandom related that is me being me, who I am, I am a fangirl.. she constantly puts "You need to get a grown up

You could make a list on FB to post your fandom stuff to--which might be everyone EXCEPT her. Then when you post fan stuff, select that particular list.

Or smart off to her. When she posts that comment, say back "Eh, grown up is so overrated."

Or tell her to knock it off. Nicely. In person. Tell her it makes you feel bad. If she is half a decent person, she'll stop. If she continues, KNOWING it upsets you, then delete her.

^This. Or just post pictures of the hotass people involved in all that fannish stuff and say "LOOKS LIKE GROWNUPS TO ME BITCH". Ahem. Right. Sorry. I have patience issues with people who do that crap, lol.

I love your Spock icon! LOL! I have no patience with her left at all hon. I so agree. Hubby says just ignore her, well no! It's humiliating for me that my other friends can see what she posts! I used to be hounded, especially by my brother for things i liked all my life , like liking star wars or ewan mcgregor was stupid... my brother once destroyed my birthday cake that had Ewan on it.. Her behavior throws me back into those days and i'm nearly 40!

I used to have a really hard time telling people they were being rude or ignorant because sometimes it causes more trouble than it fixes. These days I just consider it a public service, lol.

i'm so frustrated. She posted on particular comment about "Why is your hubby never in ur pictures" more than 5 times enough over and over agian that my friend pm'd me and said who the fuck is this? She really won't get it at all unless i come out and talk to her. I am too chicken :( to do so though u are right. I'mlooking for this blocking stuff. Sigh if I just delete her it won't work either she will be like why are all the other people at work posting on ur fb but not me.....

thank u Cinnabari. I like that grown up is overrated. Must use that next time! I've been trying to find the options on fb to take care of this problem, not seeing them :(

You should be able to make customized lists of people who see your posts. When you do a status update, there's a drop-down in the corner that has Public, Friends, Only Me, Custom, etc. There's a Close Friends option, too. From the FB help page
