In the true tradition of Eurovision the rightful winners were yet again robbed by way of meanie countries and their political voting!
Yes, thats right, Lativa and its dancing singing pirates should have won! (if you dont believe me, youtube it...its epic!
All being said, with our 14 points (at least it wasnt nul points again) I really think it is time to hang up the Eurovision socks and shoes and give up the game, because France and frigging Spain got more than us, and their entries were awful (truely, truely aweful....especially Spain)...gone are the days were we can ever hope to win this thing and even Sir Terry of Wogan is thinking of bailing on the whole charade if they dont come up with a fair way of voting.
Plus I am feeling especially mean and spiteful and just want to see how exactly they get on without the UK and all the money it puts into doing this thing.
Thats right, if we dont win next year, we taking our ball our money and not playing anymore!
but seriously, Russia!?!?! .... Out of the top couple of songs, I was rooting for Greece.

In other news, OH MY GOD WE HAVE SUN!
Its been glorious the past few days (I was told that it was nice on Saturday, but I didnt see most of that day because I was curled up in bed, in the dark, refusing to move because I was hungover ill). At chez Jess we've been BBQ-ing like mad and spending most of our time pipping through music out of our window into the garden and de-camping out on our lawn.
Ah, the days of summer.

Also, I got verhy verhy drunk on friday night with my boss (no, nothing like that!) during our staff soiree and a bunch of us declaired ourselves to be his bitches. (my boss' name is Bruce, so we were effectively, Bruce and his Bitches)
am avoiding said boss for as long as possible.
Also, talked to my beloved Kenneth (WhatWouldJesusDo!Kenneth) for 20 minutes about the evolution of Egyptian writing and language.
I am so smooth! Do I know how to chat up a guy or what?
