Yep, this is the same one that you've seen a dozen times. *g*. Only this time, it's what I've read.
1) Look at the list and bold those you have read.
2) Italicize those you intend to read
3) Underline the books you LOVE.
4) Repost this list in your own LJ so we can try and track down these people who've read less than 6 and force books upon them.

The OT is a really hard slog, but the NT is definitely easier to get through - to me it is like the old Bible OT and then the modern version NT (at least that is what I remember it being like).
And not trying to be nosey, but just really interested, were you brought up a Christian then? I was; the whole thing; Church/Sunday School etc etc, and very religious parents....let's just say I have my beliefs, but don't actually go to Church any more (which I'm sure my Mum hates, but.....).

I think your Mum was very wise - children should be exposed to things and decide for themselves. I guess my Mum secretly hopes that I'll return to her Church one day, but I find it a bit intimidating - too large, very cliquey. I admit that that is no excuse not to seek out an alternative though.
I always think too that those beliefs stay ingrained with you and do shine through you, regardless of where you are in life.
