Omg Shuttered with Joseph and narcissism, and Jacob not mentioning that he has a TWIN to his college peeps. Yes to all of this.

Shotgun shuts his cakehole - okay, I'm a little emotional already of Gishwhes-related reasons, but aw the diiiistaaaance growing between then and Jacob does not know WHY things are changing without his permission. (Jimmy leaves Jacob behind socially, so Jacob leaves Jimmy behind by GOING TO COLLEGE FOREVER.)

Why is there not more Novakcest? Why is there no comm for it? Because I would spam that comm. Spam it like the tinned meat section.

JACOB NEVER TALKING ABOUT JIMMY AUGH IT KILLS ME. Except he slips so often, starts anecdotes with "my brother and I-" or "Jimmy told me-" and never getting further than that. What if Joseph doesn't put it together? What if they assume Jimmy was a boyfriend of Jake's that he never quite got over, and it's more true than it isn't, "brother" never quite captured what they are. Oh god the distances that don't fit between them, the spaces they try to carve for themselves that always end up being made for two. THEY BOTH FEEL IT FALLING APART BUT THEY CAN'T DO ANYTHING TO STOP IT.

Someday soon there will be a comm! My compulsive organizational tendencies have not yet meshed with my schedule in such a way that I can complete the ~OFFICIAL INTRO POST~, which I would really prefer to have done before setting the verse loose into the world. Tumblr makes a nice stopgap, though? :D

The tumblr is wonderful because it's like pawing through a box of memories. On the other hand, whenever I go on tumblr I loose about 17 hours of my life. So I've been trying to avoid the siren song of tumblr and it's amazing pictures with ficlets and the Novakcest and TUMBLR BB I'M SORRY, I WILL NEVER LEAVE YOU AGAIN.

But yeah, looking forward to the comm ;)

I looooooooove the tumblr. In a lot of ways it is the ideal form for novakcest, or at least the truest to its original inception, just lots of feelings dumped on various Mishafaces without attempting to follow a coherent long-term narrative. (Because lol we have no attention span, just ~*~emotions~*~!) But I imagine it's confusing as fuck to people who don't know what we're all on about XD

If we're being realistic, I'm likely to have it up around the end of next summer. BUT BY ALL MEANS KEEP WRITING FIC IN THE MEANTIME.

Bwah-ha-ha, yes, that's my fic journal. And yes, there will be more. Season three Novakcest paired with Sam'n'Dean and their usual issues both resenting the Novaks for taking up their valuable time in Dean's last weeks and appreciating the distraction, and Bobby and Rufus just mocking them all quietly. AND BOTH SETS OF BROTHERS ON THE BRINK OF LOOOOOOOOSING A SIBLING TO A BIGGER PLAN AND SEEING THE SIGNS BUT NOT UNDERSTANDING THEM.

Jimmy has been talking in his sleep but it's not in any language Jacob can find out and he's been lying about his dreams for the past few months (Jacob can tell. Jacob can always tell when Jimmy's lying).

Jimmy and Sam get along great until Sam mentions that he ran away to go to college and Jimmy just gives him this look like Sam had done something unforgivable.

Jimmy and Jacob know Bobby's house and ways as well as Sam and Dean do (sometimes better), and Sam'n'Dean wonder if maybe Bobby just has a small army of young(ish) hunters moving through his life.

OH GOD OH GOD THE DIFFERENCES THAT COME BACK TO HAUNT THEM. "I'M OLDER AND I SAID SO" IS JIMMY'S LINE, NOT THAT IT EVER WORKED, BUT NEITHER OF THEM HAVE MEMORIES TO HOLD OVER THEIR BROTHER OF A LIFE OTHER THAN THIS ONE, NOT LIKE DEAN AND THE HOUSE IN LAWRENCE. SAM AND JACOB BONDING OVER COLLEGE AND DEAN REFUSING TO COMMISERATE WITH JIMMY BECAUSE JIMMY WAS THE ONE TRYING TO BE NORMAL, TO GIVE UP THE LIFE. Poor, poor, poor Bobby.
