[For Nick]
After her incredibly fucking strange thing with Auggie on the beach, Karen made her way immediately to the compound, searching out Nick. The weird trippy thing didn't happen again, but she felt weird the entire way, even when she did her best to keep away from people. Utica seemed to sense her agitation, and barked at everyone who passed by.
That didn't really work once she reached the compound, brushing by others without stopping. When she ducked into the rec room to look around, one of the chairs she touched turned to jell-o. When she brushed by a woman walking down the hall, her skin turned blue -- but after she shrieked in surprised, it was back to normal.
By the time she headed into the lab and found Nick, Karen was doing everything in her power to keep from freaking out all over him.
"Something weird is happening," she said, clutching his arm. Usually she could deal with whatever the island happened to throw at her, but this was something different entirely. "A lot of weird things are happening, what the hell is going on?"
