You work for free? Great!
I am an intern at the mid-sized paper in the town where I attend college. Though the job has been an amazing learning experience and I've gotten lots of clips, I am started to be a little annoyed. It seems that they replaced a paid, full-time, benefits included staff member with me... unpaid intern slave. It has me wondering if this is a trend in all newspapers or just a cutting of corners at my local paper. And if this is a trend across the board -- it really pisses me off that getting paid to write is so far fetched anymore. :-/
