Good idea: getting a puppy to surprise your grandparents for Christmas.
Bad idea: getting the puppy a week early and becoming unavoidably attached to its fuzzy cuteness and ridiculous sweetness.
Good idea: deciding to get yourself a new puppy.
Bad idea: assuming your father will agree that the above statement is, in fact, a good idea.
I'm going to miss the puppy fuzz a lot more than I anticipated. Crap.
