So, it got worse.
She gave him her car so that he could work on the stuff he needed to finish up for the move, and for 5 days she sat at our house doing nothing while he had her car, and she never knew where he was or what he was doing. In fact, she was lucky if she spoke to him twice in the same 24 hour period.
We were all convinced he was selling drugs out of her car. My grandfather (who co-signed the loan for her) almost called the police to report it stolen, because Mac (her boyfriend) wouldn't tell her where he was, and wouldn't give it back. She kept asking him to come pick her up (at my mother's insistence, because we wanted to know where the damn car was) and he'd tell her, 'yeah, I'll be there in an hour', then he's never show.
This went on for almost a week. But she refused to believe that anything was wrong, just like she refused to believe that he had stolen our things (continue reading for a full list of everything he's taken, it's grown since the last post).
Then last night her best friend in the whole world came to our house to tell her that someone had broken into her house. Someone who knew her. Someone who took care to not break anything, to steal only things that weren't really important (i.e. he didn't take her computer, etc.) and to, get this, lock the door on the way out.
Now tell me, what kind of thief locks the damn door on the way out?
My sister refused to admit that it was him, again. Her best friend left our house sobbing and told her she could never speak to her again, because once again she was choosing this douche-bag over the people that really loved.
All this has gone missing in the past month and a half and my sister would not admit that he stole it all. (He was in all of these places at one point or another, and we know for a fact that he was in our house and our grandparents house, where the gun was, alone for a significant amount of time.) She would not believe it though.
Then last night, after her friend left and she had gone to stay at another friend's house, she gets a phone call from Mac's phone.
It's his other girlfriend.
Yup, that's right, his other girlfriend. Not the one from Christmas, no this is a whole new one whom he's been seeing for the last month.
After a very long night we found out that he has also stolen from the other girl, whom he had also told was going to move to California with him, and was just as blindly clueless as my sister. (Both girls have completely ostrisized their friend's and family for this guy, who they met on the internet.)
Now, at this point her has stolen...
500 dollars from my brother,
100 dollars from me,
my laptop,
my mother's wedding ring,
a ruby ring of my mother's,
a diamond bracelet I gave to my mother,
a sapphire necklace my sister gave to my mother,
2 of my aunt's necklaces,
an antique pistol that belonged to my grandfather,
two dvd players from her friend,
her friend's digital camera,
50 dollars from her friend's living room,
one of my professional film cameras which I rarely use (I only discovered this because the other girl had mentioned seeing one, and so I checked on it and sure enough it was gone),
a bicycle from the other girl's 9 year old son,
a dvd player from her son (he stole Kallie's friend's dvd player to replace the other one he had stolen),
another working gun from the other girl's house,
a bread maker from the other girl (which he then gave to my sister),
my sister's diamond bracelet she got from my mom for her 18th birthday,
and possibly a pair of diamond earrings from my grandmother.
Yeah.
So she dumped him, called the police (did I mention that the other girl's dad is a policeman?), and she, her best friend (who forgave her once she broke up with Mac) and the other girl have spent the last day trying to get everything figured out.
And oh my God! While I'm sitting here writing this up she just found out that he's wanted for felony drug trafficking in two other states and... he's friggin' AWOL!!!
Oh my god. *headdesk*
But what it all boils down to is that she's left him, we probably won't ever see our stuff again, and I'm going to get my mom to talk her into therapy.
*falls over* How can girls be so stupid when it comes to boys?
