Many things going on, and yet nothing...

Things seem to be happening that will lead to me being employed again in the near future, but it is still a bit vague so I shall say nothing specific for fear of jinxing it.

Which is not to say I have been sitting around.  In the interim while job hunting, I'm doing retail, which I hate with the power of a thousand suns because it reminds me on a daily basis that I don't really like many people.  But it's temporary and it keeps me paying my own rent.  And realistically, there are millions of people in the world who have jobs far worse than that.  I complain too much.

In unrelated things, they have built an ice skating rink very near me that can be reached by the subway (my preferred mode of transportation) and that makes me exceptionally happy.  For those who do not know me, I was a competitive ice skater as a child, and it would still be my preferred version of exercise if there was an ice rink I could get to.  (The one I used to go to when I could muster the energy required me to ride all the way to the end of the subway line and then take two busses, and after all that who has the energy to skate). And now there is, and I expect I will be going quite a lot.  It makes me happy, happy, happy!!!

And, I am going to New York for my birthday, which makes me happy happy happy happy, and more happy!  New York makes me happy just by existing.  So does Paris.

I am still geeking around about doing nanowrimo or not, which I suppose I should really decide presently since it starts tomorrow, but at the moment I'm leaning toward not.  If you have a story idea then it's a great way to get it all out in one big frenzy, so you can see if it really holds together as a story and if it's worth working on, but if you don't have an idea at all, I kind of feel like no reason to push it.

In the world of fanfiction, I am still trying to decide between two things I'd like to do next.  The problem is that one of them is post-6th-year, which forces me to create canon which will almost surely be proved wrong when book 7 comes out.  To that end, I am throwing out some questions to ponder:
First off, let me say I don't buy the theory that it was part of a plan and Dumbledore wanted Snape to kill him to save Draco or not blow his cover or whatever and Snape is actually still a good guy and blah blah blah.  Sorry, nope, don't buy it.  He's a bad guy and now everyone knows it.  So working with that theory...

Where do you think Snape and Draco went after they took off from Hogwarts?  Back to Snape's house?  Unidentified hiding place?  Straight to Voldemort's side?  Is Voldemort just glad the Dumbledore is dead or is he pissed that in the end Draco didn't have the cojones to do it himself?  Does he punish Draco?

What happens to Harry and the others isnt all that relevant to my story, but where Draco ends up that summer is.
