i didn't realize what a crazy city we live in until recently. the other day coming back from work there was a terrible traffic jam on kendall drive heading west. not surprising, i know. but on this day it took me an hour and forty minutes to get from 107th to 157th. it was worse than that day there was a gas leak at varela and we all evacuated to the p.e. fields. i've never been so on edge not moving like that with hundreds of people honking and getting out of their cars. crazy's getting frustrated and flooring it as soon as there is five feet to move up.
there was a police shooting outside of best buy. one man died, the other was air lifted. apparently they continued to shoot after he was on the ground. someone murt that nigga.
it reminded me of the day after christmas when yesy and i went to the mall. we got out of the car because they blocked off the 874 in both directions. we saw someone get air lifted that day too.
i can't help but wonder how many incidents my cousin jaimie has had and if they were similar. if i counted out all the wild encounters in my life i'm sure it wouldn't be very extraordinary but in retrospect its definitely a good amount of material to reflect on.
if we were in israel this would be child's play. i hope they find peace sometime.
on another note school is hitting me pretty hard. i like my classes and photography is very therapeutic, i'd like to learn color prints next. i hope that i'm successful.
