Dead trellis.
The chaps arrived at 8.15 and said, ‘This is a bit of a disaster.’ They measured up and disappeared for a while to buy new trellis. Having sourced it, they set about fixing it to the wall properly, with plugs. Apparently, the old trellis was just nailed on; no wonder the weight of the plants brought it down eventually.
After some trimming of the plants, they lifted them and tied them in.
The bare patches will soon disappear. I think even these doughty workers were rather daunted when they first saw the mess but I’m sure you’ll agree they did a good job.
