Autumn means getting ready for spring
I’d promised myself that I would plant my early bulbs on 1st September and I have done.
I will allow myself a little moan about it: why can’t any plant company get a bulb order right? I’ve found this time and again, with different companies. Today, I found one variety missing completely and replaced by a duplicate of another of the varieties I’d ordered. Actually, I got an extra bag as well, so I shouldn’t complain too much but it’s not what I wanted! Now I have pots of miniature daffodils and one of dwarf iris ‘Katharine Hodgkin’ ready for next year and twenty more tiny daffodils added to the existing collection in the foxglove bed. I can’t think where on earth to put the bulbs in the extra bag. Here’s what I hope to see next year.
