Here’s what
the Book Depository predicts we’ll want to read in 2012. But will I? Mrs Robinson’s Disgrace looks promising. The Art of Fielding was discussed on Simon Mayo’s book club, with a transatlantic phone chat with the author, Chad Harbach. It’s a first novel making a great stir and I like the sound of it. Then there are new books from Peter Ackroyd, Anne Tyler and Mark Haddon. If the library will oblige, I’d like to read Roger Scruton’s book, too. Hmm, quite encouraging and I hope I can get my paws on these.
