One Song to the Tune of Another

Every time I hear the new Annie Lennox song which is getting so much airplay ATM, I expect it to turn into True Colours. Parts of Fleetwood Mac’s Peacekeeper are a dead steal from Paul Simon’s Kodachrome. Then there’s that record I don’t know the name of which starts with the opening bars of the theme song for You Only Live Twice. I’ll never understand how George Harrison lost the lawsuit over My Sweet Lord/He’s So Fine because there’s so much other unwitting plagiarism going on. I read in Patti Boyd’s Wonderful Today that after the case, George banned all radios from the house in case he was subconsciously influenced by other people’s music. Glad I didn’t have to live with him.

Any more soundalikes you can think of?
