I'm in a great mood today for no particular reason. Looking forward to book club this weekend. It's my turn to bring snacks, I think I'll make baklava. This month we read a biography of Francis Perkins, FDR's Secretary of Labor. It's reassuring to think so many of the labor protections we take for granted now are relatively new; makes you realize big problems can be tackled in surprisingly short time spans when need compels.
