First, yay for falling asleep before midnight for the first time in recent history. And even with doing that I managed to get pretty much ten hours of sleep last night.
Last night at work was... interesting. So let's take a little bit of time to go over the "No Call" law, shall we?
If you are on the list for solicitors not to call you, market research companies (which I work for) do not apply. You can complain all you want that we're soliciting you for answers and knowledge and all that, but it is absolutely legal for us to call you since we're not selling anything. There is also the fact that we are currently doing a study on behalf of the state. So why would the government hire us to do something illegal? OK, maybe that's not the best question to ask, but you get the point.
Therefore, to the incredibly rude gentleman who harassed one of my interviewers before demanding to speak to a supervisor (I was the closest one to her at the time), stop yelling at me. I'm not an idiot. And i don't need to go back to college because I'm already a student working on my second degree, thank you. And I really doubt you were expecting a call from Evan Bayh, but even if you were, complain to him all you want, but I highly doubt a Senator can do anything about our business like fine us for thousands of dollars which you think he can.
And just when my blood pressure had fully recovered from that incident, I got cussed out by a woman in Oregon. Awesome.
Don't think this happens to me every night I work, that was a rare night for angry people, but it was still not fun.
