Random News Update
So, I've got all my grades back for the semester. Two A's and to A-'s. I'm pretty happy with myself, especially since one of those A's is for the worst class I have ever taken in my life.
I have an interview tomorrow at noon for the supervisor position at work.
But by far the most interesting conversation I had this weekend (and the reason for the icon selection) was with my cousin. Jennifer graduated from Harvard three years ago, and a class behind two guys (one her boyfriend), who graduated a year behind B.J. Novak (aka Ryan "Hottest in the Office" Howard--I watched The Dundies yesterday). But Jennifer, my sister and I were discussing the show and talking about recent episodes. She said, "You know the crazy one?" I told her she needed to be a little more specific for the show in question. She said the one who sings and went to anger management. I said, "Andy Bernard?" "Yes! Warren (her boyfriend) and I think he's modeled after (their friend) Garrett." I just had to sit back for a moment. She said that since B.J. is one of the producers and knew Garrett in school, she really thinks he was the inspiration for the character. Some things being said the way they were, the mannerisms, and the taste in ties are a little too familiar to her. I was just in awe. I couldn't really move on to any other conversations because it was just so weird that someone I know may be the inspiration for a character on my favorite show. This is Garrett--PS, I took the picture of him with his laptop wearing the black coat. I asked Jennifer if he constantly mentions how he went to Harvard like Andy does about Cornell. And to her knowledge, he has not recently been dating any high school students. But he does sing. I forgot to ask about any banjo skills or pig latin abilities he may possess. Craziness.
