Day 09 - Best Scene Ever
I love this scene for so many reasons. One of them being half of the monologue is in Latin and there are no subtitles. Thank you West Wing for not dumbing down your programming and treating our viewers as intelligent people. Another reason? Who hasn't ranted like this to God. I know I have, did just a few days ago. I remember reading an article about when this was shot. Bradley Whitford's minister from back home was there, and Bradley asked all worried-like, "You know what's about to happen, right?" The pastor smiled at him, "Yes, and it's going to be great." I don't think you can call yourself a person of faith until you have a conversation like this with God. How Martin Sheen didn't win an Emmy for this is a shame. Here's the video of it if you've never seen it or just want to relive the greatness.
