Gah, I can't resist any musical related memes...and Idina is definitely my weakest spot. So here I am, filling out a meme that no one will read. Enh, why not? Got this on
alexandrialee09's journal, no idea where it came from before that.

Day 01 - Favourite Idina Broadway Role
Nearly beat myself up trying to choose this. It was a very hard choice. Elphaba is probably the most challenging role to get, Maureen is the sexiest, Amneris is the most fun to play...I could go on and on. If we're talking about my favorite role to see Idina specifically in, I think I have to say Elphaba (which you should've seen coming from the icon on this post). Believe me when I say I really did not want to give this answer. It's too cliche, and I appreciate every work of theater Idina has ever touched...but I can't hide it; I'm a shameless teenage Wicked fangirl on the inside, and Elphie warms my heart like no other character does.
The character of Elphaba makes my spine tingle, her songs makes my heart soar, and hearing Idina sing as her gives me an Idinagasm - okay, maybe that's too much info. I can't say I identify with her per se, because I don't quite see myself in her. But I feel like I understand her, certainly more so than, say, Maureen (who is lovable, but sort of crazy). I feel so bad for her, I just want to give the poor victimized thing a hug. I've seen so many Elphabas and a lot of them are amazing beyond belief with the way they play her, but something about Idina (probably my intense girlcrush on her) makes her somehow different. She has the perfect amount of fierceness (and sass! ;D), the comedic instincts, and that voice that can blow the doors off the Gershwin any day. I've never even seen her sing Defying Gravity live - although that will be changing in a few short weeks!! - much less play Elphie, but every single recording I've watched/listened to has given me goosebumps, brought tears to my eyes, and made me think, "Goddamn...I love Idina."
Oh, and Idina looks awesome in green. ;) Had to say it. Although if given the choice between Idina green and her in Maureen's pleather cat costume - I'd have to go with kitty!Idina.
