Where the heck did this weekend go? I worked on a film shoot for 16mm film class Fri, Sat Sun and we (kyle gen and I) woke up around 430 every morning, loaded our equipment into the truck, and drove to Wallace which is about 50 miles from here in the middle of nowhere. We shot at this really old barn with a huge soy bean field behind it and it looked awesome. I love film shoots because they are like summer camp or something. You all have to wake up at the crack of dawn and we work all freaking day but its so much fun hanging with the crew and getting the shots. The shoot went suprisingly smooth for how all over the place it was
I ended up with three jobs at once for the whole weekend... boom operator (micing the actors), electric(handiling all of the lights with Matt), and still photographer. I was really busy running around the whole weekend but i prefer that. I don't really like to stand around that much and would rather have three jobs and be busy then 1 and just waste time. I got to know a couple of people on set a lot better but I already knew most of the crew and it was awesome getting to hang with them.
Like I said it feels like I was at a camp for the weekend... that is whats so cool about film is when you are on a shoot, you lose all sense of time. It felt like a weekday the whole weekend and the days seem to last forever when you wake up at 4 am. Yesterday I honestly thought it was 5 pm and was surprised to learn it was 1:45. You also are completely cut off from everything else in your life, I even forgot there was football this weekend until I got home everyday and normally thats all i care about on the weekend. You also don't have a cellphone so no outside communication
Anyways, I have two tests on Tuesday, and a bunch of other school stuff I know I'm forgetting about so I need to get on the ball. Everything else is going pretty well I guess. The home situation is improving and I'm glad I finally have that figured out. The last couple days I got sad about a few things and then the sadness kind of turned to anger towards the end of the day today. I think some things finally caught up with me from this summer which I think I have just been denying the fact that I was upset by them this whole time. But it is what it is and there is nothing I can do about it except try to let it go. I just hate being angry at people.
I can't wait to see everyone for Thanksgiving break!
