ramblings of a tv fangirl

Hee. TV rambling is what I do best. But randomly, I am utterly in love with the new Maroon 5 single. I cannot wait for this album. Woo!

But little rambles. The CSI: Miami love continues. As does my crush on David Caruso. The interview in TV Guide last week absolutely made me grin. He's so adorable. And I love his sense of humor about being made fun of. The Jim Carrey impersonation of Horatio made me laugh until I had tears. It was great. And DC knows it's all in good fun. It's fantastic. Something David said in the interview about Horatio also made me cry, and I am so going to use it in my Horatio/Marisol series. I swear the man lives in my brain. I love it. And I love him to pieces. But the spoilers I've been seeing for upcoming episodes has me a bit worried as to the direction they're going to take my second favorite Miami character. It's vexing me a bit. We shall see. However, last Monday's ep, Bloodlines, was great. I loved seeing Roark Critchlow as Doug Lansing, even if he was dead. He's still Dr. Mike Horton from Days of Our Lives. Sigh. I loved him.

CSI: NY was good this week too. I am so glad that Anna Belknap is back from maternity leave. Lindsay is one of my favorite characters, and I know I am in the minority for that. I like the inconsistent characterization, and I don't know why! Flack of course, is still number one, and Eddie Cahill just rocks the snark. I really like Claire Forlani too--Peyton just seems to work as a character for me. I'd love to see her stick around.

The Grey's Anatomy clip show was fantastic, and had me laughing and crying. JDM is so freakin' endearing. He was an excellent host. I wish I had taped it now, dang it. Heh. They better stick it on the S3 DVDs.

Missed NCIS this week, but will catch up on it at the parents' house on my vacation in a week or so. I can't resist Tony.

And randomly, on the Miami front, it just keeps sticking in it's place as #1 of the franchise for me. I know a lot of people think of it as cheesy, and that's fine, to each their own. New York has climbed into my #2 spot, and I've essentially quit watching the original. It's sad how much things have changed. There still isn't enough Greg to make me watch. I'm watching Dr. McDreamy. or the demon hunter boys and their lovely Impala.

Work is work. I need to make a locked post about stuff somewhere along the line. September is a go, and I have to have a staff in like, three months. Meep.

Family is good. Mom's been dealing with a bad root canal job, and Dad's been busy this week, so I haven't seen them a whole lot. We went to lunch at the World Sports Cafe today and then went shopping, so that was nice. I was at Barnes and Noble for an hour this morning buying books. Got another writing book and a couple of fluffy ones to read.

Was digging through a box the other night and found a story I had started writing in 2000. I think I might try to do something with it and try to make it into a novel. It needs some major revamping and character development, but I'd like to think that somewhere, I can make this work.

Split shift tomorrow, and I have Monday off. Am thinking about going to the scrapbook store to play around, but we'll see. I may end up putting the iPod on and doing some serious writing. I badly neglected the pdficchallenge prompts. I feel bad. Will be better about doing those. ;) I also need to work on my grief fic, because it's eating at my brain as well.

Am off to be productive. Or play on MySpace--either way. Hee.

Good night.
