(no subject)
soooooo.
I got a job transfer!!! I decided that since I have been actively looking for a job for 8 months and have gotten a big fat nothing, I might as well make myself as comfortable as possible at place of current employment. Especially since in the past few weeks, staff have had fingers broken, been stabbed, had their heads busted open and stapled shut, etc...its just really not worth the money any more. The real kick in the ass came when I recently heard from a past client who does not have a highschool diploma or GED and she is making more money per hour than I am... how sweet is that?
So I applied to transfer to an afterschool program that is run by the organization I work for, and I got the position. Its way easier and it sort of feels like a vacation compared to the emotional/verbal/physical abuse I have been dealing with for the past three years. AND i get to work Monday through Friday. So I'm off on weekends for the first time in....my life?
The only problem is that its about 8 hours less per week, so I'm going to have to make them up somewhere. I applied for a part time position somewhere else today. We'll see.
Apartment living is pretty good so far. It has been over a month and it seemed so weird to me that i felt like I was adjusting just fine and didn't feel stressed about anything at all. But today was the first day that I felt a wee tinge of homesickness and stress about all the bills that have shown up and all that. but i'm just a little emotional overall today. it will pass.
in other news, thanks to my twin brother, I now have a very unhealthy addiction to the show "Lost"
we don't have cable, so he gave me the 1st season DVD set and I have not been able to stop watching them. I've watched like 16 episodes since sunday! Out of control.
and....I'm going up to michigan with my roommate next week. Hopefully it will be fun. and hopefully i will be getting my tattoo on saturday. can't wait.
and! i ordered a knitting bag from nataliedee.com (if you've never seen that website, you have to check it out. a lot of it is quite funny) the bag reads "will knit for tattoos" !!!!! hahah I'm really excited about it, and I want to start knitting again, because its getting cool and thats knitting weather.
