Well yesterday, as most of you probably know, I got my wisdom teeth out. It didn't hurt at all (of course since I was totally knocked out), and it turns out laughing gas doesn't really make you laugh. The only sucky part was that I totally felt the needle they gave me in my arm to put me to sleep, even though they kept saying "Don't worry; you'll just feel a blunt pain like a mosquito bite". Well after about 20 seconds, the next thing I remember is a nurse helping me walk down a hallway to a recovery room where I laid down for about a half hour with my mommy and they finally went home. Once there I took some vikanin and Ibuprophen (sp?), put cotton in my mouth to stop it from bleeding, and held frozen pees against my face, one side at a time for 20 minutes each. Although supposedly your mouth is supposed to stop bleeding within two hours, mine didn't so I put tea bags in my mouth, which was supposed to be a garanteed quick fix. Nope. My mouth only stopped bleeding this morning. It's not a big deal though, seeing how my mouth doesn't hurt AT ALL unless I open it too wide or something. One funny thing is that today I woke up to find two things that look like cold sores on the sides of my lips, but my mom ays they're probably marks from the thing they used to hold my mouth open during surgery. I ate a lot and watched a lot of t.v., mainly Oprah, Ellen, scrambled egggs, ice cream, jello, apple sauce, spagettios, and spagetti. I swear I feel like I've gained a gazillion pounds in just two days, but probably not. After today I don't need to ice my face all the time, although by tomorrow morning it should be completely blown up. I'm guessing the swelling will go down through Friday, and I should be fine to go out this weekend. One good thing about all of this is that my aunt got me the Jack Johnnson cd and the complete second season of King of Queens; my dad and I should have a lot of fun with that. I can't wait to get up and go places though (ESPECIALLY THE GYM!). Being at home can be such a drag. I'm sure I'll get over it though :)
