Hey hey family. For starters, thanks for all the emails. October was honestly probably the greatest dearth of letters received by Elder Wiggins in any way, shape, or form in his entire mission, so today was a nice change. You're all the bomb diggity, and don't forget it.
I'm really excited. I got a (as in ONLY ONE...) recipe for banana bread from Annalisa, and I'm really excited to make it. The good news is that Jamie sent me a page with links to a ton of other recipes, so I might try my hand at chocolate oatmeal no bake cookies and snickerdoodles. Hooray! Thanks guys. PS- I think only one recipe for banana bread is sufficient. The send recipes to Andrew contest is officially over. Thanks for your submissions!
This week has gone all right, ya know? Pretty normal. Actually I had some pretty crazy days from Thursday to Friday, but it's kind of a lot to go into. I'll just be brief. I saw a dead body (he was just dead... like... I think he had a heart attack or something, nothing dangerous or to be worried about), a crazy drunk guy that was tweakin on something, a guy blowing fire, I ate the world's most famous pupusas ever, I ran some crazy special errands for President Jones, I paid rent for all the mission housing for the first time, etc, etc, etc. Plus... ah, nevermind.
Anyway, every thing keeps moving forward. I made a personal budget this month. BO-RING, I know, I know, but it was probably the first time I've ever attempted at making a monthly budget, so I feel pretty proud of myself, in the most humble sense of the word.
This Halloween was a little bit totally superdooper lame. My companion went with my mission president to some zone interviews on the other side of the country, so I was in a trio companionship, which, if you don't know, totally and completely sucks. Anyway, we knocked doors in a relatively rich neighborhood and not only did nobody let us in for 3 hours, they were all rude to us. It makes me grateful that I'm in a poor country because the people are all so nice and humble for the most part. I can't believe how much money corrupts people. So it goes. Anyway, I was going to have some kind of Halloween personal activity when I came home, but I didn't. I just wrote about some Halloween experiences in my journal and called it a night. So that was that. But just so everybody knows (even though I know you don't care) in my budget I've set aside $10 to make my personal Thanksgiving feast, so when the time comes I'll let you all know how it went. I've gotta plan it really well. I'm even tempted to go in with my companion and buying one of those frozen pies they sell at the store to eat for dessert. Daggummit, I'll eat pasta and oatmeal all month to save up for that one meal.
Anyway, I'm pretty much out of time already because I spent a good amount of time reading emails and copying and pasting recipes, so I'll do my best next week to write the majority of you back. Just know that I love you all, I'm really proud of you all, and I'm glad Lambardi ranch still stands. Life is good.
Love,
Andrew
