(no subject)
hi everyone-
im not gonna lie, i was having a kind of crappy day till i read all yallses
emails and now i feel a lot better about life. im not really sure what it is
about here, but its just so discouraging to be rejected day after day after day
and be expected to pick everything up and go forward and get rejected some more.
its also hard to live in a foreign country where english isnt the first
language. but thanks to your emails i feel a lot better about life. i just need
to forget about how i feel and grow a little thicker skin i guess. i dunno. im
tender.
anyway, tihs is the last week before transfers, and i seriously have no idea
whats going to happen. i think that either i or elder fernandez is going to be
transferred, which will be a welcome change, as long as my new comp isnt a
complete explitive. but i dunno. he just isnt very nice to me and tells me im
not patient when thats the one thing i felt i learned with him and last night i
just wanted to feed him rat poison.
but i didnt and i hope that i receive some blessings for it.
anyway, yeah... i did divisions on wednesday which were really amazing. i went
to the area down south of zacate, nonualcos, with elder neville, from ogden,
utah. hes a pretty cool guy. we were waiting for a bus to go out to the ocean,
but we got hungry after a 15 minutes wait, so we went to get something to eat,
but then we saw the bus drive by... so we ran after it, all to no avail. so we
hitched hicked with some guy with a jeep and i taught him about the kingdoms of
glory and we got to the beach even faster. boo ya grandma. im not gonna lie,
hitchhiking is just about the coolest thing in the world, but only as a
missionary, and please dont scold me for doing it, i dont do it very often.
so kevbone is going to alaska? thats raelly crazy. cold cold cold. i bet itll be
so dang beautiful though. tahts one thing about el salvador... its pretty, but
the people have destroyed so much of this land. theres so much trash everywhere,
and in the cities there arent trashcans, so everybody litters. so its just
filthy a lot, even at waterfalls and rivers, where it would be absolutely
beautiful otherwise.
harry potter and the deathly hallows? oh man. oh man. oh man.
anyway, i dont think i have a ton more to say. oh yeah, i bought a guitar... but
i was raelly good and didnt play it till this morning (p-day), and im only going
to play on p days in the little time i have, so i dont get distracted. but its
sweet, and i named it pamela, after amy´s mother. i hope that isnt too weird,
but i thought it was the perfect name. its brown and classical with nylon
strings and its just perfect. really gonna be a good one. so yes.
anyway, drink some root beer for me, and maybe even go to coldstones for some
mint with brownie ice cream. thats my favorite.
