im heading to nyc on independence day [funnily, now's the first time possible security concerns have crossed my mind, but oh well] to visit the lovely ms. xu. apart from the obvious, there are several people i'd like to see - for those of you in the city, give me a call to set up a time when you can take me out/buy me things.
i hope everyone else is as excited as i am for wes anderson's adaptation of roald dahl's the fantastic mr. fox. im not sure how much stop-motion animation i can take, but nonetheless...
the supreme court news is exciting. i really liked how a week ago the neo-dobsonites [sorry suzanne] were already trying the "you just know those democrats are going to try and block whoever the president nominates" bullshit, when they still thought rehnquist was going to go first. while that's probably true, i'd say that unequivocal support is equally dangerous as the knee-jerk opposition many democrats feel towards most of mr. bush's appointments so far.
