im starving.

To my ultimate chagrin, i was awoken at 8 am today. About seven hours earlier than usual. But it was for a good cause, to help my dad out with bakery stuff, so i couldnt really be mad about it. It was just the beginning of a pretty long day when we got to sams club, and i discovered they carry natures valley, so: note to self, start buying natures valley sweet and salty almond bars exclusively at sams club! a regular sized box hardly lasts an hour between the man and myself. then there was unloading and stocking water bottles, vaccuming dads convertible, and picking up my car from le shop. then... i picked up my brothers friends to take them to the mall. he made forty bucks with dad today, which was the only money he had, and he spent all of it on a pair of michael jordan sandals. i wish i could have reckless abandon with money that way.
But before the mall, frankie and i stopped by a tiny puppy store that i had passed for the first time a few weeks ago. "kelly pets" a cute name, i thought. however, once i entered i realised a few things. first of all, i preffer russian dwarf hamsters to chinese dwarf hamsters. also, that love birds are LOVELY, really. they had their wings clipped and were hopping around in a topless aquarium. I'll have to do some research on love birds... they were the most lovely shades of baby blue, lemon yellow, magenta, and other colors just as vivid. another thing i realised was that it wasnt really a puppy store so much as a dog orphanage. i guess someone opened a puppy store without realising that there was no market for one, and now all of the puppys they purchased are getting too big for their cages. so sad. However, aside from cats and dogs, they did have more than their fair share of strange small pets. Taranchulas, chinchilas, love birds and parakeets, a variety of hampsters, rats, mice, gecko's, turtles, snakes, a cockatiel, and even more that i can't remember. And this is when kelly pets began to make sense. It's on the same street i took coming home from elementary school when i lived in that town. Of course the perfect thing to put on this street, aside from the deli which has a huge candy counter, is a pet store with lots of cute or vicious looking animals that small children can take home and smother. the revenue from the hundreds of toads and gerbils their selling probably makes up for the fifteen-odd dogs they're gonna have to take into their home.  nice job kelly. i bet the parents of that neighborhood will have stoned you by the end of the fiscal year.
