So it turns out running makes you sore if you haven't done it in a long time. I've been taking some time off bike riding (been tired, feeling burned out) but was feeling the endorphin withdrawal, so decided to go for a run yesterday morning. I haven't run since March or April of 2009, probably (definitely not since May 2009, when I injured my knee).
So I went out on what I thought would be maybe a three-ish mile loop... ended up being more like 5.5 - 6 miles (still learning distances from my new place, apparently), which I did at what was probably 8:40 ~ 9:00/mile pace. (I have never been, and probably never will be, a fast runner). It felt good (after the first 15 minutes or so), but today... parts of me hurt that I didn't know could hurt (at least from running).
