Normally I don't post amusing bits of spam, but for some reason I opened one, and after being offered a copy of Adobe Photoshop for only $89 ($909 less than the retail price, apparently), I was greeted with this, which looked like poetry:
Glimmering of light:
It's snowing, it's returning to a town
By trees-or might see as the masonry
Beneath the snowflakes I notice façades
VIII. Russia: The Great Northern Expedition
The edge of that other square cut from the right
Rain. We are forced to fly,
And piled up at the base of the columns
Of too much truth to do much more than lie
Toward something that the world is pointing toward
Event, the end of the painted road ends up
In the woods, close by,
Life, or only joy, that stands out
Beyond ice floe and berg and ice-bound sea,
Where does this all end? What is the vanishing
At San Biagio, in the most intense room
visitors' dugout. The osprey whose nest is atop
Scrawny wolves, and you,
By what it seems to have moved toward. In any
I smell a Pulitzer Prize winner.
Also, I am really getting annoyed at DeviantArt right now. First it wasn't showing up at all, now I've been getting a message saying it's undergoing system maintenance. Must be some extensive maintenance if it's taking hours to do.
EDIT: Now we've got an explanation: "Our servers are being a little too devious right now and we are down due to a power failure. We should be back up and running sometime this afternoon (Pacific Standard Time).
Thanks very much for your patience, and in the meantime, this would be a good time to work on some fresh new art to show everyone when we come back!"
Pacific time...that's out on the west coast...so if it's around 3:30 here, it's around 12:30 in California. Guess we've got some more waiting to do.
I'm nearly finished revising one profile (it's less revising and more changing dates and a few things that annoy me); Elena's profile probably won't take long. After that there's three pictures to do, but I'll probably start drawing one today, as I've completely run out of ideas for those design sheets I was drawing. ;P
