one monkey at one type writer stuffing envelopes

You know how advertising gets in your head sometimes and actually changes the way you think about things (for the rest of your life?). I have a default setting in my head that makes any two word verb phrase sound like Tony the Tiger from Kellogg's Frosties: "Hunger STRIKES!" (dum dede dum dum... general drumroll effects). So there's this sign I pass on the way to Oxford that says "RUMBLE STRIPS" and of course I hear "Rumble STRIPS" (dum dede dum dum (...)) and think 'who is this rumble and where is he stripping?'.

Last time I drove by, I sniggered in that private snigger way that no one else is supposed to hear and D asked what I was so amused about. I explained - and it turns out that he has a two word verb phrases thing too, which is an echo of a phrase from a board game of his childhood: "Tyrranadon SWOOPS".

*nods*

Yes. We're both a bit weird.

Y'know what I mean?

Anyone else got any random word associations rolling around in there?
